Demi Lovato had described it as having a more soulful and R&B inspired sound, citing Keri Hilson and Rihanna as inspirations for the sound.

After Demi Lovato's stint in the treatment facility, producer Timbaland expressed interest in working with her.

Demi Lovato granted her first post-rehab interview to ABC newscaster Robin Roberts, which aired on Good Morning America and 20/20 on April 22, 2011.

During the interview, Demi Lovato confirmed reports that her treatment was for bulimia and self-injury, and had taken place at the Timberline Knolls facility in Illinois after the aforementioned confrontation between her and Welch led to an intervention by her family and management team.

Demi Lovato stated that the incident came after having had a "really unhealthy relationship with food" since age 8 due to bullying experienced as a child, and self-mutilating her wrists to cope with her emotions and depression since age 11.

Her condition came to a head during the tour because Demi Lovato "was performing concerts on an empty stomach...I was losing my voice from purging. I was self-medicating. I was not taking medication for depression, and I literally was so emotionally whacked out that I took it out on someone that meant a lot to me."

Demi Lovato expressed regret at her actions towards Welch, stating "I take 100 percent, full responsibility...I feel horrible. [She] was my friend."

In another interview, Demi Lovato added that she had "basically had a nervous breakdown", and was also diagnosed with bipolar disorder during her treatment.

As part of her efforts to raise awareness about issues similar to her own, Demi Lovato was announced in April 2011 as a Contributing Editor to Seventeen magazine. Demi Lovato will discuss her personal issues as a part of a larger campaign called "Love is Louder than the Pressure to Be Perfect", directed towards teen girls.

The Disney Channel decided to revamp Sonny with a Chance around Demi Lovato her absence, temporarily restructuring it to focus on the show-within-a-show, So Random!. The move allowed the show to resume filming in January 2011, even though Demi Lovato remained in treatment.

"This allows her the time she needs to get well, without distraction or pressure," a Disney Channel spokeswoman said.

"Again, we extend our ongoing support to Demi and her family as she works to overcome personal issues."

On January 28, 2011, it was reported that Demi Lovato had completed her inpatient treatment at the rehab facility and returned home to Los Angeles, where she "will continue to see doctors" to "help her work on the issues she confronted in treatment."

Demi Lovato has returned to work following her stint in rehab. The 18-year-old singer-and-actress, who left an unnamed clinic in the U.S. state of Illinois last month after being treated for "emotional and physical issues", was back in the studio recording music at the Hollywood Records' office in Los Angeles on Wednesday, February 16.

in a PSA for Voto Latino in order to promote the organization's "Be Counted" campaign for the 2010 U.S. Census.

On March 29, 2010 Demi Lovato announced on her Twitter page that she would be appearing in an upcoming episode of the medical drama series Grey's Anatomy. She will be portraying a teenage patient named Hayley being treated for possible schizophrenia. The episode will air May 13, 2010 on the ABC television network.

Demi Lovato also recorded vocals for the second Disney's Friends for Change single, "Make a Wave". The song is a duet with Joe Jonas. A music video for the song premiered on Disney Channel on March 14, 2010. While singing "Every Time You Lie," she switched the line, "How long's it gonna take until you see that she's no me" to "How long's it gonna take until you see she looks like me"—a fairly obvious reference to Trace's recent steamy date with a Demi doppelganger.

Demi Lovato tweeted a picture of herself surrounded by friends, and people are worried. What's the problem? For starters, Demi Lovato's hip bones are prominently on display - one might even say they were protruding. Demi Lovato, who's opening admitted to being a victim of bullying in the past, has also been very open about her size and body shape. Demi Lovato's been a champion role model for young girls everywhere, claiming she's perfectly happy with her size.

However, along with her picture, Demi Lovato tweeted the following lyrics:

"I need you to know, I'm not through the night.. Some days I'm still fighting to walk towards the light."

The song is "Courage" by Super Chick, and if you read the lyrics, it's a heartfelt tune about the struggles of anorexia.

Demi Lovato rules the Billboard 200 chart this week, album "Here We Go Again" (Hollywood Records) debuts at No. 1 with 108,000 copies sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Demi Lovato 's 1st set, "Don't Forget," bowed at No. 2 less than a year ago with 89,000.

Demi Lovato' debut marks the 4th No. 1 album of the year for Disney Music Group - a record for the company. Like Britney Spears before her, Demi Lovato pretty much admits in the title of her sophomore album that she's serving up more of the same the second time around, but unlike Britney, that may not have been Demi's intention. For Here We Go Again, Lovato makes a relatively clean break from the Jonas Brothers, who penned much of her debut, Don't Forget, drafting sensitive AAA singer/songwriters Jon McLaughlin and John Mayer presumably to give Lovato a bit of mature veneer, a subtle shift buried underneath the relentlessly cheerful Radio Disney production and Lovato's irrepressible spunk. Both sonic characteristics tend to camouflage Demi's biggest moves away from teen pop -- the fussy balladeering of "Falling Over Me," the mock-Mraz jazz-pop "Every Time You Lie," the sober soul searching of the Mayer collaboration "World of Chances," the Celtic flair of "Gift of a Friend" -- which also happen to be the very things that make Here We Go Again not quite as much fizzy fun as Don't Forget. Not quite as much fun, but still fun, particularly when Lovato tears into hooky power pop like "Here We Go Again," "Solo," "Remember December," and the stomping "So Far So Great," the theme song to the TV show Sonny with a Chance, songs that are ideally matched to Lovato's adolescent energy and spirit, which remain her most appealing qualities.

I read an article in TWIST magazine. It was in the Truth or Rumor section. They showed a pic of Demi Lovato with cuts on her arm. Demi Lovato said that she didn't cut herself, it was some bracelets that she wore. They were so tight, they were breaking through her skin. She (Demi Lovato) stopped wearing them though.

Demi Lovato's publicist said in a statement that Demi Lovato had been wearing those rubber bracelets prior to the event (Miley's 16th birthday bash at Disneyland) and she had taken them off just before. That accounted for the red marks on her wrists.
Anyone who is not familiar with her work and her personality might fall or something like this, but she (Demi Lovato) 's a talented, positive girl who would never cut herself.

They all know each other, and I'm not to sure how good of friends Mandy Jiroux is with Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez but I know they are friend's. I don't think it matters how long you've known your best friend, it's who you can trust, and share similar things with. Someone who you can have fun with.
